Sporting KC Weekly Schedule: June 7-12, 2022

Sporting Kansas City (3-8-4, 13 points) will host the New England Revolution (4-5-4, 16 points) at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday at Children’s Mercy Park in a nationally-televised cross-conference clash on ABC and ESPN Deportes. Tickets are available online at SeatGeek.com as Sporting celebrates the club’s Soccer For All match, inducts Davy Arnaud into the Sporting Legends hall of honor during a pre-match ceremony and hosts the Matchday Experience Clinic post-match for youth between the ages of 8-14 years old.

Sporting KC is teaming up with the KC Pride Alliance for ongoing support of the LGBTQ community and together with jersey-front partner Compass Minerals will participate in their KC Pride Parade at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday as part of KC PrideFest at Theis Park. Sunday’s match will feature numerous Pride Month celebrations, including adidas Love Unites training tops and jersey number in the colors of the progressive flag worn by Sporting KC players as well as a SportingStyle capsule collection for fans, a national anthem sung by 2022 American Idol contestant Teddy B and a check presentation from match sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka to local non-profit organization Our Spot KC supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community.

NEW EPISODE OF SKC SHOW ON TUESDAY

Sports Radio 810 WHB will also provide local radio coverage of Sunday’s match, including The Final Whistle post-match show with hosts Dave Borchardt, Chad Reynolds and Aly Trost. In addition, a new edition of The Sporting KC Show will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB from 7-8 p.m. CT on Tuesday with hosts Nate Bukaty, Jacob Peterson and Aly Trost. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify , iTunes andSportingKC.com, giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

SKC ACADEMY TO HOST PATTERSON CUP

The Sporting KC Academy will host the Patterson Cup from June 8-12 at Swope Soccer Village featuring 18 MLS academies in three different age groups. The Sporting Kansas City Under-12, Under-13 and Under-14 Academy teams will all play twice on Wednesday and twice again on Thursday before advancing to placement matches on Saturday and Sunday.

VICTORY GALA TO BE HELD ON FRIDAY

On Friday, The Victory Project will host the philanthropic foundation’s annual Victory Gala beginning at 6 p.m. CT at Compass Minerals National Performance Center (1913 Pinnacle Way) in Kansas City, Kan. A limited number of Victory Gala tickets are available online to join Sporting Kansas City players and coaches for cocktails, dinner and after party in support of The Victory Project.

Sporting KC II will continue the club’s inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro at 4:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Houston Dynamo 2 at PNC Stadium. Saturday’s match will stream live on mlsnextpro.com with in-game updates available from @SportingKCII on Twitter.
