Dustin and Sarah Bower, the heart of the Sentry Plumbing LLC operations, embrace the enthusiasm of their mascots Moby, a chocolate lab, and Harlee, a white German shepherd.
Sentry Plumbing LLC, a locally-owned residential plumbing business, has been up and running as of April 18 in Marshalltown serving the residents of Marshall, Story, Tama, and Jasper counties in central Iowa, and the company recently celebrated joining the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon cutting on June 14.
Retired 21-year Army veteran Dustin Bower is the plumber for Sentry with nearly 10 years of experience under his belt, mostly having worked in the Ames area and Hartwig Plumbing and Heating in Marshalltown. His wife Sarah formerly worked in health care, has office experience from a moving company and now manages the office aspects of Sentry. The emphasis of their business is non-commercial plumbing jobs that can be completed typically within a day, prioritizing emergencies as needed.
“We’re really focussing on residential service,” Sarah said. “We don’t do big remodels. We don’t do jobs that take multiple days. We are really just doing ‘You need help. You need it now. We are trying to get there as fast as we can and help you.’”
Sentry also specializes in drains, an aspect of plumbing often overlooked in the area. With fewer people repairing drains, the wait times for service can be multiple days for customers who are waiting and wondering how long their plumbing issues will continue. Dustin and Sarah make it a priority to keep people informed on job details including time and price of service.
Sentry Plumbing LCC can be found on Facebook or their website at www.sentryplumb.com. Their phone number is (641) 750-0108.
