Senior health fair planned at Howard Long Wellness Center | News, Sports, Jobs

WHEELING — WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital is planning a senior health fair at the Howard Long Wellness Center on Thursday, July 7. The event will be held in the center’s gym from 8 am to noon.
Free services will include:
∫ Carotid Artery Screenings
∫ Melanoma Screenings/Skin Checks
∫ Blood Pressure Checks
∫ Sao2 (Oxygen Saturation %)
∫ Heart Rate
∫ Handgrip Strength Test
Direct-to-consumer lab draws will be conducted from 8-10 am. Cost ranges from $10-$20 and payment is cash only. Tests include fasting and non-fasting basic and comprehensive metabolic panel; electrolytes panel; hemoglobin A1C; hepatic (liver) function panel; lipid (cholesterol) panel; PSA (prostate); renal (kidney) function panel; T4; TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone); vitamin B12 and vitamin D.
