More than 20 people injured in NYC after SUV crashes into sports bar
Twenty-three people were injured at a New York City sports bar and restaurant Monday night when an Uber accidentally crashed into it, officials said.
Twenty of the victims, which included three children and the driver of the SUV, were taken to nearby hospitals for evaluation, but none had sustained life-threatening injuries, according to NBC News.
According to Uber, a passenger was in the SUV at the time.

“Our thoughts are with all of those injured and impacted by this horrific accident,” Uber said in a statement obtained by NBC. “We’re reaching out to the driver and rider, and are standing ready to assist law enforcement however we can in their investigation.”
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Monday when the driver of a white Audi sedan bumped into a black Toyota RAV4 and caused the Toyota driver to lose control of the car, mount the curb, and crash into the Inwood Bar & Grill, preliminary reports suggested.
The driver of the Toyota was a 31-year-old man, but no information about the driver of the sedan has been released, and the driver fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
The injuries were the result of broken glass and debris from the accident, a spokesperson with the New York Police Department told the Daily Mail.

The NYPD claimed the sedan could be tied to a nearby dispute outside of a gas station. Detectives are now searching for the occupant or occupants of the sedan.
