Kozubal records first career goal in loss to UTRGV

EDINBURG, TX. – Adam Kozubal of the Bryant University men’s soccer team scored his first career goal in the Black and Gold’s 3-1 road loss to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

  • 20th minute – UTRGV 1, BRY 0 – The Vaquero forward took the ball from the right side of the field to the left and then blasted a shot to the top left of the goalpost past the hands of the Bryant goalie.
  • 79th minute – UTRGV 2, BRY 0 – UTRGV started with the ball at midfield, then set up a one-two pass on the left side of the field, which was shot to the left of the goal.
  • 87th minute – UTRGV 2, BRY 1 – Jakob Friedman took the ball down the left side of the field and sent a cross, which the defender deflected. Kozubal then corralled the deflection and riffled a shot off his right foot for the goal.
  • 89th minute – UTRGV 3, BRY 1 – The Vaqueros scored the game’s final goal on a penalty kick.
