Foster Ties Career High Again with 28 Kills as Volleyball Drops Tight 3-1 Match to Davidson

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball fell to visiting Davidson 3-1 (25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 25-20) despite Emani’ Foster tying a career-high with 28 kills on Thursday night.
 
BACK-AND-FORTH
Davidson (6-4) squeaked out a narrow 27-25 win in a rollercoaster of a first set before the Wildcats went up 2-0 with a 25-22 victory. Charlotte (6-5) rallied back for an exciting 25-23 victory in the third before Davidson pulled out a 25-20 in the fourth to win the match.

Foster’s match and career-tying high 28 kills saw the junior hit .333 on the night while Amani McArthur followed with a dozen hitting .550. Sophie Whalen popped up 15 digs with Annika Wetterstrom following with 44 assists and 14 digs. The 49ers out-hit the Wildcats narrowly at .285 to .276 while out-blocking the visitors 14-6.
