The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration (AAS) is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business School Programs (ACBSP).

This program is partially transferable to Eastern New Mexico University’s Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences online degree. It is also partially transferable to the University of New Mexico and New Mexico Highlands University.

CNM’s School of Business and Information Technology offers a Fast-Track Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Business Administration that you can earn in less than two years.

The program was designed and is taught by highly qualified faculty from the School of Business and Information Technology who also have a background working in the industry. This program was designed with working professionals in mind, whose days demand their time and attention to work, family, and other obligations.

The classes in this program are offered in 7-week blocks: two blocks per term and one 7 to 12-week summer block. This accelerated approach to achieving your degree is facilitated by taking classes in the evening and online.

Please Note: The Fast Track Program for Fall 2022 will hold two classes per week in person (face-to-face). If there are schedule changes to be made due to COVID-19, the program will contact students to let them know.

The tuition cost for the Fast-Track Business Administration Program is $8,999.00. This is a flat rate fee that fully covers the length of the program.

Financial Aid

Fill out a Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) and contact a CNM Financial Aid advisor. We accept all forms of Federal and State financial aid, including Pell Grant and Student Loans. We also accept the following payment methods:

  • Payment Plans available

Admission and Application Requirements

  1. Apply to CNM
    Submit official transcripts from any previous colleges that you may have attended.
  2. Take the Accuplacer test for appropriate placement for college-level courses.
    If you took the Accuplacer within the past five years, these scores can be considered for accurate placement. Accuplacer exams can be taken at any CNM Assessment Center. 
    • Reading & Writing Requirement
      • Reading Score = 257 or higher OR  WritePlacer Score = 6 or higher
    • Math Requirement
      • Quantitative Reasoning score = 234 or higher OR Arithmetic Score = 264 or higher
  3. Apply to the Fast-Track BA Program
    You must submit this separate online application along with a participant personal statement.

The participation essay is used in part to determine eligibility for acceptance to the program. You should discuss your background, your current work experience, and your goals (things that motivate you to be involved in this accelerated program) in a paragraph essay format.

Information Sessions

We strongly encourage you to attend an information session to find out more or ask questions about the program structure, application process, financial aid, or any other questions you may have. Sessions are typically held on Tuesdays at noon and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.

Class Schedule

Classes are held two nights a week from 5:30 p.m. – 8:20 p.m. and also include online work. For Fall 2022, we will have two classes be live in-person (face-to-face) and one class will be online. Both the in-person and online classes are required attendance for the program.

Note regarding Fall 2022: Classes will be held primarily in person (face-to-face) with some online classes.

Per CNM’s Covid-19 Policy, all students must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. If you have an approved exemption, you must take and pass a weekly COVID-19 test (the weekly COVID-19 test must be taken within seven days of the previous test).
