Conor McGregor drops truth bomb on MMA, boxing career amid injury recovery
“But, boxing, for sure I will grace the squared circle again in the future.”
Conor McGregor also dropped some update on his recovery. To recall, he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier in UFC 264 last July 2021. He has been out ever since then as his injury definitely looked serious.
According to McGregor, however, he is in good condition and progressing nicely in his recovery.
“The body is doing good. We are going to up the training bit by bit. I have another CT scan in the coming days and then I will be clear to kick,” the Notorious shared. “Once I can kick and grapple, I will be back in no time. Boxing training is going well, strength training. I am excited to get back.”
McGregor is one of the most controversial and bankable fighters in UFC, and there is no doubt a lot of people are waiting for his return as he seeks to get back at the top of the game.
“My first love in combat sports is boxing. Obviously my return will be in the octagon for the UFC, in Mixed Martial Arts. That story is far from over.”
