Commitment Alert: 2022 Ian Clinkscales-King continuing career at UNC-Asheville

Each and every time Phenom Hoop Report gets to report or sees a commitment from a player we have seen over the years, it is always a fantastic day.  It is great to see players achieve their goal to play at the next level and it is such a great accomplishment for that player.

Here is the latest commitment.

“The NLPB group highlighted a lot of resiliency in this showing, and Clinkscales-King was as valuable as anyone. He’s a sturdy, strong-bodied post prospect with a high motor and the ability to consistently secure rebounds on either end of the floor. Clinkscales-King utilizes his body to play through contact, both as a finisher and rebounder, and does a nice job of making an impact defensively.”

“Enka may not be a team many are familiar with but they are having a very good season and shouldn’t be sneaking up on anyone.  We watched them back in early December and Clinkscales-King captured our eyes with his ability to create opportunities for himself, running the court, and his activity level on the boards and in the paint. He has been a huge part of Enka’s success this season.”

“The 6’5 center had a strong showing in this game and was consistent with his play.  He ran from box to box extremely well, moved well without the ball to create opportunities and openings for his teammates, and was active down in the paint. He finished well for the most part around the basket and always had his hands on the boards. A strong showing from the big man. Had one of his best games, scoring 24 points to help his team.”
