Career TEAM selected to address workforce challenges in this region | Business
The Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board announced recently that Career TEAM LLC was selected as the region’s direct services provider through a competitive request-for-proposals process.
As chief officer of national workforce solutions for Career TEAM, I am thrilled about this opportunity to serve employers and prospective employees in the Lincoln Trail region.
With the anticipated 5,000 jobs that will arrive in the region as a result of the BlueOvalSK Battery Park in Glendale, now is a critical time for workforce development in the region. With our national presence and proven track record in workforce development, Career TEAM is prepared to address the workforce challenges the region faces coming out of the pandemic.
Career TEAM will provide services to adults, dislocated workers, youth and the business community through the four Kentucky Career Center-Lincoln Trail locations in Bardstown, Elizabethtown, Lebanon and Leitchfield. Additionally, our team is dedicated to being engaged with the community outside of the career center locations to meet individuals who are looking for employment and those in need of assistance in preparing for employment and to provide services to employers.
We believe accessibility and community partnerships are integral in workforce development. That’s why we also provide around-the-clock access to career services through Career EDGE, a software company founded by Career TEAM.
Our team assists with career coaching, resume creation, job interview preparation, job search assistance as well as connection and funding for training opportunities for those who qualify. We also offer Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I services on behalf of the Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board, including tuition assistance for individuals pursuing in-demand careers who qualify for WIOA funding.
Career TEAM LLC started operation in 1996. Since then, the company has operated workforce development programming across the country. Our work takes us to large cities, small towns and everywhere in between.
At the core of our business is the goal of “accelerating the human condition,” meaning our team is dedicated to helping people prepare for work, find quality employment and move toward upward mobility.
Our company is an innovator in the space of workforce development. We have developed a proven curriculum that has helped more than 500,000 people across the country as they prepare for the workforce. Our curriculum and delivery is central to our approach of serving individuals in the career centers and in the communities that we serve.
Since our company has a national presence, we learn and are connected to the best practitioners and best practices across the country. We also connect our staff to leaders in the field to learn and to be mentored.
Our contract with LTWDB began May 1 and runs through June 30, 2023, and LTWDB may choose to renew the contract annually for up to three additional years, based on the availability of funds, contract performanc and the workforce needs of the region. Throughout this time, we plan to increase the number of individuals who are served in the Lincoln Trail region and build new partnerships in the community that will enable us to reach more individuals with our services as well as leverage resources that will enable us to serve people more fully toward their success in employment.
At Career TEAM, our measure of success is not only employment, but also retention and the potential of upward mobility.
Whether you’re looking for a job, in need of guidance when it comes to entering the workforce or if you’re an employer looking to recruit quality workers, we at Career TEAM are excited to serve you.
