Summer is soon to be in full swing in Williamson County. These are just a few of the upcoming events in the community to mark on your calendar:

FJEC Juneteenth Events

June 17-18

The Franklin Justice and Equity Coalition’s second annual Juneteenth Formal Gala is set for 6-10 p.m. Friday at The Factory at Franklin, and the Juneteenth Festival Saturday on the downtown Franklin square will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. 

African American Heritage Society Juneteenth

June 20

Celebrate Juneteenth with the African American Heritage Society of Williamson County on Monday at the McLemore House Museum in Franklin from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Games, museum tours, food and more are on tap.

Movies in the Park 

Fridays in June and July 

Head to Pinkerton Park in Franklin for a free outdoor movie on Fridays in June and July. Movies begin at 8 p.m. or sunset, and food trucks are available. Friday’s film is “Stuart Little.”  

Harpeth Conservancy’s Family Fun Day 

June 18 

Harpeth Conservancy’s annual Family Fun Day Saturday has two sessions from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. Register at www.harpethconservancy.org/events.  

Summer Tribute Series Finale 

June 19 

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s 2022 Summer Tribute Series at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center will conclude Sunday at 7 p.m. with Sweet Baby James: James Taylor Tribute. 

Blackberry Jam 

June 25 

Carol Warren and Dale Whitehead will once again welcome musicians to the front porch stage of their 100-year-old farmhouse off Franklin’s Blazer Road, Boyd Mill Farm, on June 25 to raise money for the Hard Bargain Association of Franklin. Events will run from 4:30-8:30 p.m. with gates opening at 4.  

Carnton Sunset Concert Series 

June 26 and July 31 

The shows at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park in Franklin begin at 6 p.m., with gates opening at 4. Wanted: The Bon Jovi Tribute Band and Mixtape: 80s Tribute Band are on tap to take the stage.

Franklin on the Fourth 

July 4 

This year’s Franklin on the Fourth celebration will focus on family fun, including great music, quality crafts, tasty food and antique cars. The city will also shoot off fireworks from The Park at Harlinsdale Farm starting at 6 p.m. 

Brentwood Summer Concert Series 

June 19 and July 4 

The Brentwood Summer Concert Series at Crockett Park will continue Sunday at 6 p.m. with the Bicho Brothers and July 4 at the annual Red, White and Boom Celebration with The Smoking Section Band. 

BrentFest 

July 23 

BrentFest will close out the annual Brentwood Summer Concert Series at Crockett Park on July 23. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. with food trucks, a beer garden and kids fun zone, and live music will start at 6 p.m. with Cruizin Keys Dueling Pianos and Rubiks Groove at 7 p.m. 

Concerts in the Courtyard 

Friday nights, June 3-Aug. 26 

St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in downtown Franklin hosts its second annual Concerts in the Courtyard series featuring a variety of local musical artists every Friday night at 7 p.m. until Aug. 26.  

Williamson County Fair 

Aug. 5-13 

The Williamson County Fair will return for its 18th running Aug. 5-13 at the Williamson County AgEXPO Park in Franklin.
