
Black Wall Street Black Business Expo kicks off this weekend – WSB-TV Channel 2
ATLANTA — The organization behind one of Atlanta’s events is highlighting black-owned businesses and African American excellence.

The Financial Literacy Institute will kick off the second annual Black Wall Street Expo Saturday, June 4 at 12 p.m. at the Westin Peachtree Plaza.
The expo allowed attendees to shop at Black-owned businesses, and enjoy food and entertainment for all ages.
The expo will also include a panel discussion of high-profile guests who will share ways of building financial literacy with steps to help circulate the Black dollar.

Participating panelists included psychologist and pan-African activist, Dr. Umar Johnson, Riverdale Mayor Evelyn Wynn-Dixon, Morris Brown College President Dr. Kevin James; and Financial Literacy Institute Founder, Jasmine Young, CPA.
The expo paid homage to African American heritage and will facilitate a discussion on how to best effect social change for the African American community.
The Financial Literacy Institute will award one business owner with a $1,000 Black Wall Street grant.
