Alexandria, VA – “The West End is the Best End” is the theme of the new photo contest open to amateurs and professionals who want to showcase their best images of West End Alexandria. First prize pays $1,000, and the second and third place winners can pick up $500 and $250 respectively.
The contest celebrates “70 Years of the West End” and was a hot subject bouncing around the room when business owners and city leaders recently gathered at the award-winning Taqueria Picoso restaurant located at 1472 N Beauregard Street on Thursday, August 25.

“Take your best picture of Alexandria’s West End and send it in. It’s that easy.,” says WEBA Vice President Paul Friedman. To do that, visit alexandriaweba.org/photo-contest to submit your photo, or post it on social media with the hashtag #AlexWestEndBestEnd

The West End Business Association (WEBA) of Alexandria, was formed in 2005 to unify, strengthen and serve the West End business community. WEBA hosts a networking Happy Hour every second Thursday of each month at a different business. These events are free to members who pre-register. Guests pay just $15.00. Hosts and sponsors have the opportunity to tell guests about their businesses and specials for WEBA members. Visit alexandriaweba.org to learn more about joining or hosting an event.
