Hops for Hospice
Hops for Community Hospice is a fundraising event featuring craft beer from Persuasion Brewing, food and fun with giant yard games, ax throwing, cornhole and more. People must be 21 years or older to attend.

Graffiti Summer fest
The North Modesto Kiwanis Car Show returns with two days of vintage and classic cars and a music festival. Car customizer John D’Agostino and actress Candy Clark from “American Graffiti” will attend. There will be local bands, food and vendors. Modern muscle cars and exotic vehicles will be displayed Sunday.

“Grease”
Patrons can sing along during the screening of this classic musical, part of the Graffiti Summer lineup. Dress up as your favorite character from the film and dance in the aisles while John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and others sing their way through a summer of love.

MoBand
The Modesto Band of Stanislaus County continues its season with its “Latin Fire” program at Mancini Bowl in Graceada Park. Many people get their spots early by laying down blankets during the day and then take picnics later to enjoy during the concerts.

Mistlin Gallery exhibits
“The World Around Us” and “Triple Take: Plein Air Artists with Three Views” are on display at the Mistlin Gallery in Modesto. A special selection of watercolors by the late Dan Petersen is part of “The World Around Us” exhibit. Petersen was a local artist and Modesto Junior College instructor.
